Hey you did really well! and I am happy for you that you are accepting yourself. We all try to mask our faults(whatever they be). I applaud you for posting your video and wish you only the best!
I stutter too, maybe not as bad as when I was a kid, I had to pound my fist to get a word out (im not sure why I started doing that) But I still stutter daily an I hate the way people stare at me when I do stutter. Even when I order Pizza over the phone just because I stutter on the word delivery they know exaclty where to go without asking me for the address..now thats embarrassing
people make fun of my friend because shese been stuttering all her life….everybody makes fun of her even her other best friend! i have never sayd/thought of how she talks but she does have a beautifull voice and when she sings i cry inside but my friends laugh….i noticed she doesent stutter when she sings so if you do stutter try and sing!
Alex, Dont give up. I feel people are gaining respect towards people like us. They’re getting better educated. Educating people about stuttering is one of my goals. Comfortable stuttering is a great goal.
I’ve been a stutterer since I was about 7 years old. I’m glad to see that there are other people out there like myself admitting their speech impediment. Ironically, I somehow overcame my stutter and now I am a stand up comic/actor/writer/and a magician. What really helped me was the breathing techniques and the thought of, “fuck what people think”. Because all that really does matter is what you think of yourself. So keep up the good work.
Hi Alex, I understand your frustrations as I have also been there in that dark place. At one time I thought that there was no way out. Today I am dealing with my stuttering and so can you.
alex, I’ve been there. Don’t give up man! people understand now more than ever. Just tell them you stutter, that’s what I have to do when i meet new people. I had to learn that this is my problem and I have to push myself to work through it, never give up on life! People care about you man!
hello, i stutter too, and it sucks, i hate myself, i’ve been taking medication for the last 4 years but still i can’t talk like a normal person, i hate that, i’m very depressed right now, i’m probably going to kill myself tonight (no joke), i have loads of pills and anyway…i admire you so much for doing this, i can’t stand listening to myself when i speak, so i cant imagine recording me and showing that to the world.
I hope things get better for you
alex

That’s a great goal – it’s something a number of us stuttering guys are working towards!
