I think he thinks that it is upsetting for the stutterer to read and speak, but it’s not, He feels embrassed or something. That is just how we talk there is nothing wrong with is

My dad has a minor stutter and I have it, as well as 2 of my brothers and one niece and a 2 yr old nephew that I think has it. I think with me since i also was born with my fingers from my left hand deformed and I`m really self conscious about my big ears, that when i stutter it all piles up on me at that time and that makes it worse.

I think device works only for those who think it works. It is like a lie detector it works only if suspects thinks that it works. So called Placebo effect.

Paying so much for a device that has so much loopholes. This is just something that uses delay and pitch, two things you can easily get out of a media player. The reason they’re charging so much is because it is more convenient than other products. If I know I can’t get a word out, I stop and act as if i’m trying to remember, then say I forget. This is embarrassing in a lot of settings though, as once I was asked to tell which church I was from, and said I forgot. A horrible mental affliction.

yeah, I find talking somewhat easier tha reading because it’s not written in stone, u can change the words. With reading it’s not ur words

That’s an example of irony!

Probably when a stutterer explains something that effects them greatly, or that their realy passionate about–it helps them to not stutter.
