Tutorial: Stuttering Vocals in Reason (with bonus scratching emulation!)

Posted by Kyle Madison on March 2, 2010

www.boyinaband.com – check out my site for the text version of the tutorial, as well as more Reason video tutorials! I use a sample imported into NN-XT and a bit of clever sequencing to achieve this effect. This tutorial is part of my Glitch Hop Week on boyinaband.com so be sure to come over and check out my other blogs and tutorials! If you have a tutorial request just send it my way either here or on my website http If you make anything with this patch, post it as a video response! I totally want to see :D

ok so here’s my question….Can you have like a whole verse like lets say like 8 to 16 bars long instead of samples in reason? if so how do you do so.

Nice, nice.
With a few more keyboard area Samples with different starting points and an Arp and a Midi Keyboard, you are abled to perform very cool Live Sets.
With the pitch wheel/stick, you can trigger the scratchings.

The best english Reason Tuts on Youtube.
Respect.

Wait, you meant the pitch, hmm.. I think the NN-19 device might work instead, if not then I’m stumped! :(

Can’t get it to automate the scratching effect. The automation parameters for NNXT don’t include LFO1 pitch. Any idears?
